The East Berkshire Football League is a football competition based in South East England. It has a total of six divisions headed by the Premier Division and five lower divisions numbered One to Five. The Premier Division sits at step 7 (or level 11) of the National League System. There are 68 teams registering for the forthcoming 2009/10 season. It is a feeder to the Combined Counties Football League.

Teams also compete in the Berks & Bucks Cup (Intermediate & Junior levels) as well as regional cups including the Slough Town Challenge Cup, the Norfolkian Cup and the Ascot & District Cup.

 

 

 

League News 

Congratulations to Waltham who have won the Premier Division. The club last won the title in 2006/07, and fought off a strong challenge from Slough Heating and others in the title race.

The winners of Division One are Stoke Green who claimed top place in a very competitive division.

Delaford have secured the Division Two title after a fantastic season, only losing 1 match.

Beaconsfield Town have won Division Three, winning 17 of their 18 games in a superb season.

Congratulations to Alpha Arms Academicals Reserves who have won Division Four.

In their first season with the East Berkshire League, Beaconsfield SYCOB Old Boys have also won Division Five in a tight title race. The club pipped The Crown to the title by 3 points.


Please also ensure you complete & return the application form for next season 2010/11 to the league if you haven't already done so. This is vital to the league so as to prepare for next year.

 

Cup News

Waltham have completed the double by beating Slough Laurencians in the League Cup Final, 3-1. Congratulations from the league.

Congratulations to Burnham Swan who have won the Presidents Cup, beating Alpha Arms Academicals in a thrilling final 5-4.

Slough Heating have won the Slough Town Cup Senior competition. The Premier division team overcame Slough Laurencians 3-0 to win the trophy.

The Slough Town Junior Cup was won by Britwell who beat Alpha Arms Academicals 4-2 in the final.

The Ascot & Fielden District Cup Final was won by FC Beaconsfield who beat Premier Division rivals Waltham on penalties after a hard-fought contest.

Stoke Green have been crowned Norfolkian Junior Cup winners after beating Falcons 2-0 in the final.
